retreat success

so practitioners is over. we’ve all made it home and have to join the ‘real world’ again. it was a blast hanging with everyone. getting to share what we’re doing in ministry, what we’re struggling with, what we’re dreaming about…it’s great to be able to have those kind of conversations. it was also great to just relax and play basketball, disc golf, and xbox together. and that’s why i love practitioners…for those moments that can only happen in this setting with these men!
on a side note we’d like to welcome our good friend devin to the pym blog team. you’ll be seeing some posts from him soon.
I personally thought it was a total failure and those of you who chose not to attend made a very wise decision. The discussions were too in depth the relationships were shallow, the video games were drawn out, the basketball was second rate and the syrup in the fountain machine was expired.
*(wink) that was pretty awesome dudes, maybe this reverse psychology will get the 4 extra people that we need to play some wiffle ball
Reverse Psychology: saying the opposite of what you mean to get people to react the opposite way. I didn’t know if you all knew what Joel meant by that.
